Meet Adrian LaRoda - DNA Candidate for change in M.I.C.A.L
Biography
Adrian B. La-Roda was born in Nassau, New Providence on January 29, 1964 to Ms. Patricia Rosalind Major (deceased) of Roses Long Island and Mr. Andil Bournly La-Roda of Crooked Island.
His early education began at Shirlea Primary School and then continued on the C.I. Gibson Jr. High School and R.M. Bailey Sr. High School.
A trained architect, Adrian has worked in the field for more than 19 years with reputable firms, such as Alexiou & Associates, Ltd, on award-winning projects in the Bahamas and The Turks and Caicos Islands. Retiring from the architectural field in 2001, he is presently employed as an insurance executive at Royal Star Assurance.
A member of the St. James Native Baptist Church and the St. David’s Masonic Lodge, Adrian serves on the boards of a number of charitable and civic organizations and is a member of the Registered International Association of Architects and the Royal Institute of Architectural Technicians; he is also a certified fire protection specialist (NFPA) and presently serves as the President of the Bahamas Commercial Fishers Alliance.
An avid outdoorsman and hunting enthusiast, Adrian enjoys golfing, fishing, sports shooting, and exploring the natural environment of the islands.
He is married to Gayl Knowles – La-Roda and is the father of four children.
